The Kids Are Taking Over!

The newest addition to our PACT quilt to mark the kid's takeover of the writing group

This week the kids from PACT’s writing group share their experiences during the lockdown. Whether it's our food, exercise or how we treat others; our children learn by example so it's great for them to see us sharing our feelings, writing and creating.

We find that sharing our stories can help to offload some of the worries that weigh us down and maybe we can reach others who are experiencing similar struggles.

Using rewards to encourage positive behaviour

Members of PACT’s writing group have explored their experiences of identity as mothers, as Southwark residents and as Londoners, to try and understand the challenges that we all face. Whether it is through language or ethnicity, we all have a need to understand our place within the world.

Esta semana quiero compartir esta actividad que realizamos en casa mis hijas y yo. Desde que comenzó la pandemia en el Reino Unido todos hemos sido testigos de la ardua labor y entrega que realiza el personal de la salud “NHS”. Vemos en las noticias como doctores, enfermeros y todos los empleados de la salud trabajan bajo presión debido a la creciente demanda de pacientes en todo el mundo. Hemos visto como trabajan duro minuto a minuto para asegurarse de que cada paciente sea cuidado y reciba el tratamiento necesario a tiempo.
